OurFamily is a private family organizer app. We respect your privacy and have designed the app so that your personal data stays on your device.
All data you enter — family members, documents, reminders, contacts, assets, and budgets — is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. No data is sent to any external server.
The Chat tab in OurFamily is a launcher for WhatsApp. Tapping a family member opens a WhatsApp conversation with their phone number, and tapping the family group opens the WhatsApp group invite link you saved. OurFamily does not store, read, send, or transmit any of your messages. All conversations happen inside WhatsApp under WhatsApp's own end-to-end encryption and privacy policy. The only thing OurFamily stores is the WhatsApp group invite link you choose to save, which lives on your device.
OurFamily offers optional Premium subscriptions through Apple's App Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store any payment information.
When you attach photos or files to documents or assets, they are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded to any server.
The app can optionally import contacts from your phone's address book into the family directory. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted externally. You can deny this permission and the app works fully without it.
We do not knowingly collect data from children. The app does not collect data from anyone — all information stays on the user's device.
